Cinco de Mayo is a yearly celebration commemorating "A battle in Puebla, Mexico, back in the 1800s. At La Gran Plaza de Fort Worth, we celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a cultural festival; this all-day event features live music and Ballet Folklórico dance performances. The Mexican culture and music are incredibly diverse, and, as always, we aim to showcase a variety of bands, each appealing to our diverse shoppers and visitors.
Moreover, the Ballet Folklórico performance this year is set to be spectacular, featuring not just choreographed dances but also a historical reenactment of the famous Battle of Puebla. The stage will be adorned with Mexican-themed colors, drapery, and flowers, highlighting the vibrancy of this rich culture. This event is scheduled for Sunday, May 3rd from 1-6:30 p.m. and will take place at the main stage. The event is free and family friendly.
