LA GRAN PLAZA DE FORT WORTH® MALL, AUGUST 1, 2023 (Fort Worth, TX) — La Gran Plaza de Fort Worth® Mall offers visitors and families a convenient and exciting place to shop, dine and see. La Gran Plaza de Fort Worth® announces the entertainment schedule for the month of August. La Estrella de La Gran Plaza 2023 Finale
The “Estrella de La Gran Plaza 2023 Singing Contest” is finally here. After a successful month-long singing competition, 15 lucky contestants will be returning to the Tricolor Auto Stage on Sunday, August 6th to sing once more for a chance to win a cash prize and to be named the next “Estrella de La Gran Plaza”. The judges will select a first, second, and third place winner and each will receive a cash prize. This year La Gran Plaza de Fort Worth is teaming up with Estrella Media. The first-place winner will not only win a cash prize, but he or she will also get the chance to be a contestant in Estrella TV’s nationally syndicated “Tengo Talento Mucho Talento” contest.
The “2023 Estrella de La Gran Plaza Singing Contest” grand finale will not only feature local and upcoming talent from around the DFW, but it will also consist of a live music performance from Mexican singer-songwriter Joss Favela. He will perform on the Tricolor Auto Stage after the 15 contestants, once completed his on-stage performance, he and the judges will announce and crown the winners.
This event is free and open to the public and will take place on the Tricolor Auto Stage on Sunday, August 6th. The start time is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. The kickoff show will feature a ballet folklorico dance performance. This event is expected to draw a large crowd and we encourage all attendees to arrive early.
Academy of Visual and Performing Arts
The Academy of Visual and Performing Arts, a new free charter school, will open its doors at La Gran Plaza de Fort Worth. AVPA will be in suite #1940, a 40,196 square foot space on the northside of the shopping mall. Student enrollment for the 6th and 7th grade levels for the 2023-2024 school year is now open.
AVPA offers a variety of specialized courses all students will get a chance to explore visual arts, dance, digital media arts, literary arts, instrumental music, vocal music, and theater at no cost to families, these will all be infused in key subject areas like math, English, science, and social studies enriching learning opportunities in a well-rounded curriculum. AVPA is focused on the well-being of its students, its professional staff will include a full-time nurse, counselor, and licensed social worker who will provide coordinated services and support.
