Live Well Caminata “Summer Walking Challenge”
Summer is on the way but don't let that stop you from getting in your steps. Beat the heat at La Gran Plaza de Fort Worth, have fun, and win prizes during the Live + Well Caminata Summer Walking Challenge. Join us at the kickoff event on Saturday, June 1 from 12 to 2 p.m. for popsicles, giveaways, and to learn more. And to walk, of course!
Popsicles with a Cop
La Gran Plaza de Fort Worth and the Fort Worth Police Department invite you to the Popsicles with a Cop community outreach event, stop by and meet the officers who patrol La Gran Plaza and our surrounding communities. The mission of this outreach event is to break down the barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve. Enjoy a popsicle and ask questions and share your concerns with the police officers. This event will take place at the Tricolor Auto Stage from 1-2 p.m. in conjunction with the Live Well Caminata “Summer Walking Challenge” kickoff event.
Play Pickleball at La Gran Plaza
Grab your paddle and join the fun! Discover the exciting world of pickleball at La Gran Plaza de Fort Worth. A sport for all ages and skill levels! Ready for the challenge? The pickleball court is open Monday through Thursday during the summer months (June/July/August), from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. To reserve the court, you are asked to call 817.922.8888 and press 4, the hours to reserve your time slot are from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Father’s Day Celebration
Father’s Day is a special day to honor and appreciate all the father figures in our lives. La Gran Plaza de Fort Worth invites you to celebrate Father's Day with us. This event will take place on the Tricolor Auto stage and will start at 2 p.m. and will feature live music performances and a raffle of gifts. This year’s entertainment lineup consists of “Efecto Activado” a sierreño/norteño and Los Komberz a cumbia band as well as our very own Mariachi Mexicanisimo. Aside from the live music performances we will also be hosting a low-rider car show, showcasing some of Fort Worth’s most colorful painted classic low-riding cars. The car clubs participating this year are the following: Straight Loyalty Car Club, Ranflitas, 817 Finests, and Firmes Car Club. The car show will be in front of entrance #2 and will start at 1 p.m.
