CINCO DE MAYO
More than just a fiesta, the Cinco de Mayo Celebration at La Gran Plaza de Fort Worth pays tribute to resilience, Mexican culture in the U.S., and heritage through music, art, traditions, and incredible cuisine. From the rhythms that move us to the flavors that bring us together, it’s a day to appreciate history while sharing joy with the community. Join us on Sunday, May 3, starting at 1 p.m. to honor culture and celebrate the traditions that make us a vibrant community.
This year's event will consist of two entertainment areas the main stage inside the mall will feature local bands: Mariachi La Gran Plaza, Grupo Centauro del Norte, and Banda La Celestial, along with a dance performance by Mexico 2000 Ballet Folklorico. There will be a Low-Rider Car Show event outside on our northeast parking lot featuring more than 40 classic custom cars, more than 30 vendors and a stage with live music, this outdoor event is free to the public and starts at 12 p.m.
MOTHER'S DAY CELEBRATION
La Gran Plaza de Fort Worth will be celebrating Mother’s Day with several live music and dance performances. This event also features a beautifully decorated photo backdrop to snap the perfect picture with mom. This Mother’s Day Celebration always consists of raffles and giveaways and fun contests. We encourage all mothers to attend the event; there is always a special surprise waiting for them.
This year’s event will be on Sunday, May 10th from 2-6 p.m. and will take place on the main stage. Stop by and visit us.
MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY
La Gran Plaza de Fort Worth is honored to host our annual Memorial Day Ceremony to pay tribute to our fallen soldiers. We cordially invite you to join us for this solemn occasion on Monday, May 25th at 11:00 AM, at the main stage.
This year, we are privileged to co-host the event with our esteemed colleagues from the American Legion Post #569. The ceremony will feature heartfelt personal testimonies from war veterans, recounting their experiences in active duty and commemorating their fallen comrades. In addition, the Trimble Tech Color Guard and the Northside High School Band will grace us with their participation, enhancing the commemorative ambiance of the day.
